Newsprint paper is one of the most cost-effective paper grades – a great choice for refill packaging to provide extra protection for e-commerce orders or during storage. It is delivered in either sheets or rolls, and simple logos can be printed on it.
Newsprint paper
Mackel (waste-paper printed reclaimed paper; printer’s reject; waste sheet;
spoiled sheet) is a general term used in Scandinavia for newspaper and magazine paper. The paper is often made from recycled paper or other paper materials that have not qualified for prime-grade processes. The thickness of recycled newsprint varies depending on the raw material available at the time – typically between 42–90 g/m². At Carccu®, the most commonly used weight is 45 g/m². Carccu® always supplies PEFC-certified paper and complies with EUDR requirements.
Globally, there are many different types of printing inks, and the chemical components they contain can vary significantly. It is essential to consider the intended use of the printed product. Not all flexographic inks are suitable for food use, so from a safety perspective it is crucial to select the right inks for the right applications. Carccu® uses high-quality printing inks in its flexographic printing process that are suitable for food packaging.
